[Women's Indoor Track & Field] Green named NAIA Indoor Field Athlete of the WeekPublished by
Kansas City, Mo. - Junior Brittany Green from Monclova, Ohio has been named NAIA Indoor Field Athlete of the Week. Green had a great weekend at the University of Findlay Classic last week. Green set a school record and recorded the highest point total (3671) of the season in the Pentathlon. Green opened the event with the 60 Meter Hurdles and set a PR with a time of 9.21 in the event which is a provisional qualifying mark in that event to pick up 867 points. She moved on to set another PR in the High Jump clearing 5-5 (NAIA automatic qualifying mark) to finish 4th and collected 795 points in that event. Green then hit another NAIA provisional qualifying mark in the Long Jump clearing 18-8.75 for 671 points. Her best individual finish of the day came in the Shot Put where she came in 2nd with a throw of 40-11.5 (NAIA provisional mark) which broke the school record in that event. She picked up 693 points in the Shot Put. Green finished the Pentathlon with a 2:33.87 in the 800 Meter Run to collect 647 points for a total of 3671 points in the five events.
