[Women's Indoor Track & Field] Women add three new national qualifying marks at CMU

(Mt. Pleasant, Mich.) The Cornerstone Women's Track & Field team concluded two long weeks of two-a-day practices by competing in the Jack Skoog Open at Central Michigan University, earning three new national qualifying performances.

Freshman, Tess Odegard joined junior Brittany Green in clearing the NAIA provisional qualifying standard of 5' 3 ¾" in the high jump. Green finished second and Odegard finished third because Green had fewer misses.

Green also ran a provisional qualifying time in the 60 meter hurdles for the third time this season. After taking second in her preliminary heat, Brittany finished third in the finals clocking 9.28.

Julie Oosterhouse took second in the 800 meters running 2:19.11 to qualify for nationals in the event for the third straight season. Trinity Hulst was fourth in 2:21.01.

Haley Russell took third in the 20 pound weight throw with a new best of 50' 4 ¾". She also improved her season best in the shot put to 40' 6 ¾" for third in that event.

Oosterhouse was joined by Kaitlyn Bronkema, Lyndee Sayers and Larissa Hampton to take second in the 4 x 400 meter relay, running 4:07.50
