Teammate, Brittan Green took 1/100th of a second off her best time, improving her NAIA provisional mark to 9.21 earning 867 points in eighth place.

Green added a second personal best and NAIA automatic qualifier in the high jump clearing 5' 5" for 795 points while Souza matched the NAIA provisional mark at 5' 3 ¾" for 759 points.  In the shot put, Brittany took second with her 40' 11 ½" effort, adding 693 points to her total. Souza's 28' ¼" toss was worth 434.

In the long jump, both women picked up NAIA provisional qualifying marks with Green at 17' 8 ¾" for 671 points and Souza 17' 8 ¼" and 668 points.

Going into the final event, both women were within reach of the CU school record of 3490 points set by Amy Boyer in 2011. Souza got there first, running the 800 meters in 2:26.18 to total 3553. "I was sure Brittany was ready to score over 3500 and Anita over 3300. They both executed very well today," said CU Women's Head Coach, Paul Koutz.
